AI Stories About Reading the Truth in the News (Part 2)

Natural Language Processing(NLP), used by News Salad, is one of the major areas of AI that studies and implements human language phenomena to be described by using machines such as computers.

So how does News Salad use NLP? First, it automatically matches news-related events.

Second, it determines whether the news is positive or negative about the item and analyzes how it affects the market.

In other words, NLP learns news and stock price data of listed items because news can act in the forward or reverse direction of the market price. And if there is a possibility of a surge or crash, it also provides a recommendation or risk signal.

Third, it extracts the keywords in the article. It also looks for news and events which are associated with the keyword.

Fourth, NLP reads the stockholders’ articles in the stock discussion room and analyzes their sentiments whether they are positive or negative. It shows comprehensive results without having to go in and out of various discussion rooms.

Plus, we will soon launch a knowledge graph to analyze American stocks listed on Nasdaq according to news and to predict related stocks and industry trends when news of each situation comes up.
